Things to Try:

Single Tier Discount – Global

Buy 1,000 seats of http://staging.coursemerchant.com/instructionaldesign/catalog.php?item=2 to come to over $20,000. A discount should appear in the cart of 15%. We have done this with a simple single tier discount on the cart as a whole. This can also be done with a multi tier discount (price discount based upon number of items purchased in bands).

Multi Tier Discount – Product Specific

Buy this product – http://staging.coursemerchant.com/instructionaldesign/catalog.php?item=3 – notice the discount bands?

Discount by Coupon

Buy something on http://www.instructionaldesign.co.uk and proceed through checkout. In the ‘Voucher’ text entry box, enter the word “free”. The cart will discount you 100%. Voucher codes may be set at any value or any percentage. They may be reusable or one-time use only. They may be left open or set with an expiry date.

Discount by URL

Access: http://staging.coursemerchant.com/instructionaldesign?code=Partners. All shopping will now be at 10% discount, without using any price banding or vouchers. This makes it easy to give specific landing page URLs to certain user groups for specific discount amounts.

Buy Single or Multiple Seats

Try buying just one seat on a course at http://www.instructionaldesign.co.uk – you will receive an email with your Moodle login details within a few seconds. Now try buying multiple seats – you will receive a different email. This is because if Quantity = 1, Course Merchant will enrol the user. However, if Quantity is > 1, Course Merchant assumes an Administrator is purchasing on behalf of others and will not attempt to enrol the user.

Within the Course Merchant storeadmin is a ‘Manage Licenses’ feature that allows you to allocate multiple seats to students and to generate the Moodle login emails.
